Threaded furniture glides

Almost all chairs with metal legs are equipped with a plastic cap. In some cases, the plastic cap is screwed in with threads. Unfortunately, the standard plastic cap is not very good for your floor. A hard cap on a hard floor causes scratches. Therefore, it is advisable to replace these caps with high-quality threaded furniture glides.

Why Scratch no More threaded furniture glides?

Scratch no More furniture glides are equipped with polyamide fibres. This material is soft but very firm. It ensures that dirt, such as sand, gets trapped between the polyamide fibres. As a result, the furniture glides are guaranteed to be scratch-proof. Other chair glides are often made of felt or Teflon. Like plastic, these are hard materials. Dirt gets trapped between the cap and the floor, and when you move the chair, the dirt acts like sandpaper, scratching the floor.

Two types of threaded furniture glides

Scratch no More has two types of threaded chair glides in its range. Firstly, the Footfixx Threaded, mainly used as a chair glide but also suitable as a table leg glide. Secondly, the Threadfixx, which is mainly used as a table leg glide for straight table legs. If the table legs are hollow, you can use a round or square insert. These have a threaded opening, into which our Threadfixx can be screwed.

Furniture glides for different thread sizes

There are many different thread sizes. For chair legs, M6 is the most common size. We also have M5, M8 and M10 thread sizes, although these are less common. The Scratch no More Footfixx Threaded is available in all these sizes. Our Threadfixx is available in the sizes M6, M8 and M10. 

Threaded furniture glides for angled legs

The Footfixx Threaded can also be used on slanted legs up to an angle of 30 degrees. This chair leg cap consists of a base part and a removable glide foot. The base part is a threaded ball that you screw into the chair leg. The removable glide foot (with polyamide fibres) is then clicked onto the base part. This allows the glide foot to rotate on the ball of the base part, ensuring that the foot always remains flat on the floor. We also offer a suitable chair leg cap for other slanted chair legs.
